When I pick up a Jade West book it is an automatic thought for me that I am going to be in for one extremely hot, sexy, smutty and explicit read with a real storyline to back up all the sex. Jade West is known for pushing boundaries with her writing and it is for this reason that I keep returning to her books.
Sugar Daddies had much of what I expected, all wrapped in a pretty MMF bow. Yes, I said MMF – so there was some hot action between the 2 male leads.
The premise of this book is that Katie answers an advert on a Sugar Daddy website as a way to fund her big dreams. The ad promises lots of sex and TWO men. They have a list of requirements, including taking both of them at once. When Katie meets Carl & Rick their sexual chemistry is off the charts. Rick and Carl know that they want a female in their relationship but don’t have time for traditional relationships. But they have a secret which keeps them returning to the website to find their elusive third. Believing that that they find that woman in Katie, all the fun and dirty sex starts. But when their secret is revealed will Katie stick around or will she take the money and live her dreams?
I hate to say this but this is the second book of Jade’s that I have had issue with the female lead. Of course, all of my issues are based on my preferences of what I want out of a story. When I read a menage story, I want an equal (or as equal as you can) relationship between ALL characters. Unfortunately, there were times in this book that felt more like a love triangle and it really all came down to the actions of Katie. At times throughout the book it appeared that she was trying to split Carl and Rick for her own selfish reasons. Top this off with her bitchy attitude when it came to her family and I was just about done with her. And while she did eventually come around, I found it hard to relate to her character after I had formed an opinion.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I loved Rick & Carl. The contrast of the uber alpha with the fun loving, but still sexy as sin laid back male worked perfectly for this story. But both had hearts of gold, even if they showed it differently. Their willingness to make Katie happy as a priority, as well as satisfy their cravings really added to the storyline. It didn’t hurt that both men were dirty talkers and adventurous in bed (and out of it). These two were explosive, caring and loving – a real triple threat.
There is no hiding that I am a massive fan of books with explicit sex. The more sex, the more I am drawn to the storyline. And this book has a lot of explicit, detailed sex. There were some great scenes that well and truly would make most readers squirm. There was a bit of everything. Including some amazing MM action. Jade West’s sex is not for the faint of heart or the straight and narrow.
The other thing that I cannot deny is that Jade West has a way with words to captivates the reader from the moment they start the book. You will always get a well-developed story with great writing. And while this book wasn’t one of my favorites of hers, I will continue to read this author because she does deliver the kind of explicit books that I typically love.

Blurb: A sugar daddy website doesn’t seem a sound basis for an A1 life plan, but I’m a small town girl with big dreams, and there’s this one advert, this one crazy advert I can’t stop thinking about…
Two hot guys seeking their Little Miss Right.
Someone who can entertain them, amuse them, fit in with their corporate schedule.
And sex. They want sex.
Lots of sex.
Bonus, right? One major dose of epic win.
Of course, guys like Carl and Rick have their conditions. One being that they come together, or not at all.
Hell, I can live with that.
And there are no skeletons in their designer closet, none that I can find.
Just two hot sugar daddies, with particular tastes, nothing to worry about.
Until Carl and Rick spill the big one, the one that sends the girls running. A whole string of them before me, running to the hills without so much as a backward glance.
Maybe I should run, too. Thanks but no thanks, see you around, guys, nice knowing you.
But I’m already in way too deep for that.
Warning – as with every other Jade West book, reader discretion is highly advised. This novel contains vivid depictions of MMF / MM relationships, and Jade’s characters, as always, have very filthy mouths. Mature readers only, please.
About The Author
Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she’s plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted.
Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.
She lives in the Herefordshire countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness.
She has a red living room, decorated with far more zebra print than most people could bear, and fights a constant battle with her addiction to Coca-Cola.
